We recommend you book your lodging ASAP as the American Dental Association is holding its annual conference the same weekend and hotels are expected to be at full capacity! Several hotels in the area are already full.
We have a block of rooms reserved at the St. Anthony Hotel, where our reception will be taking place, for both Friday and Saturday nights. The St. Anthony is a historic four-star hotel just blocks from San Antonio's Riverwalk. They will have just completed a $30 million renovation in September and the place is beautiful. Getting from/to the Airport
The San Antonio airport (Airport Code: SAT) services all major destinations, usually through Houston or Dallas. It is a fairly small airport that is easy to navigate (it won the 2014 "Best Improvement" award). For airport information, please checkout their website by clicking here. If you are flying AirTran Airways, Alaska Airlines, Delta, Interjet, Southwest, US Airways, or Volaris Airlines, you will arrive in Terminal A. If you are flying American or United, you will arrive in Terminal B.
- Taxi- A taxi from the airport to downtown averages $25-$30. Taxis are easy to find on the lower level of Terminals A & B and are right outside of baggage claim.
- Go Airport Shuttle- A roundtrip ticket to downtown is $34 a person. You can reserve your shuttle online by clicking here.
- Hotel Shuttles- There are several hotels, both downtown and by the airport, that offer shuttle service to and from the airport. We recommend you check with your hotel to see if they offer a shuttle.
- Public Transportation- The VIA bus route 5 goes to downtown San Antonio for only $1.10. The bus takes about 30 minutes. The bus stops between Terminals A & B. For more information, you can check out their website by clicking here.
- Car Rental- If you plan on staying and exploring San Antonio and Texas, you can rent a car at the airport.
